Question and Answer page

What should I wear to my massage and during my massage?

You will disrobe for your massage and cozy into a nice heated table, if you like, and sheets and a warm blanket so you can wear whatever you would like to the massage.  Be comfortable is our motto.

Should I show up early for my massage?

If you are a new client then yes you can show up a few minutes early as we do have paperwork for you to fill out.  Or if you like you can print the paperwork directly from our website, fill them out and bring them with you.

What if I am late for my massage?

If you know you are going to be late it is always nice to receive a phone call letting us know that you are still coming.  Your massage will be cut short due to a schedule needing to be kept.  You will be charged for the full amount of the appointment scheduled.

Can I receive a massage if I am on an antibiotic?

We will not do massage on people taking an antibiotic.  If you are taking an antibiotic your body is fighting an infection so that puts your body at risk.  As we do massage we help with circulation and venous flow so we could potentially spread the infection making things worse for you.  Once you have finished the antibiotic and have had a 48 hour period free of meds then we can proceed with massage.

Are your couples massages in the same room? and can it be anyone for a "couples"?

Yes we have a couples room that both clients are in the same room and have the ability to do several couples in several rooms.  Couples can be any combination of people, we have massaged husbands and wives, mom's and daughters, brides and bridesmaids, best friends, it really doesn't matter to us who the couple is.  If you would like to enjoy the experience together we will gladly do that for you.

Do couples have to get the same treatment?

No, you can choose anything on the menu for each client and make it a couples massage as long as both treatments are the same length of time.  So if one wanted to do 60 minute Hot Stone and the other wanted to do 60 Deep Tissue that would be fine with us.  The pricing would be same as if single massages.

Can I get a massage if I am pregnant?

Yes we do have several massage therapists certified in pregnancy massage.  We do request that you are in your 2nd trimester and that you get a note from your Doctor stating that you are having a healthy pregnancy and are good to receive massage.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule my appointment?

You can cancel or reschedule your appointment online.  If you cancel your appointment within 24 hours of the appointment you will be charged for the services.  If you don't show up for your appointment you will be charged as well.  If you cancel before the 24 hour time frame you will not be charged.

What if I recently had a surgery?

Every surgery, every recovery and person is different, if you would like to receive massage therapy please discuss with your Doctor as to how soon you are released for massage. We would also like you to bring a note from your Doctor stating that you are released for massage.

What about payment?

We do require a credit card to confirm your appointment however we will not use that card to pay for the appointment.  We are independent contractors and get paid individually so that card information will not be available to all the therapists on staff.  Forms of payment accepted are cash, credit card and check.  Checks need to be written to LMT that does massage treatment for you.

What about Tipping?

The best tips we can receive are referals. If you would like to leave a tip for your Massage Therapist that is greatly appreciated.  The amounts vary from person to person.
